How to Spend a Quick Day in Denver

Denver Travel Guide

Spending a quick, but perfect day in Denver, Colorado based on our adventures.

Phil had a hiking trip planned in the Rocky Mountains and flying into Denver was the best option. We decided instead of just seeing the Denver airport we should take some time and stay in the city.

We only stayed a few days it was still a great time in the city. We loved the chill vibe and a weekend filled with outdoor activities.

Where to Stay

Airbnb

Denver AirBnBIt's no secret we are big fans of Airbnb when it comes to checking out new cities. There is something about living like the locals to make the whole experience even better.

We were able to find an apartment right downtown. This way we not only had a great city view but we were able to walk everywhere.

Where to Eat

City O' City

If there are two things Kelsey loves its Vegetarian food and Brunch. City O' City delivers on both. There is a stacked menu of so many vegetarian choices. We went for brunch but there are also lunch and dinner menus.

Not only is the food menu amazing but the drink menu maybe even better. There are so many choices or unique drinks to try and of course mimosas and bloody Marys.

Sassafras American Eatery

If you are in Denver with some meat-eaters then Sassafras is the better brunch spot. There are a few vegetarian options but tons of great tasting meat dishes.

If brunch drinks are your forte then look no further because this place delivers! There are TEN different Bloody Mary options and NINE mimosa options. Make sure to drink responsibly and opt for the flight to try several options.

What to Do

Capitol Hill

Capitol Hill in DenverIf you're sightseeing then Capitol Hill is a great free option. You can see the Capitol building but there is also an art museum nearby with cool street art.

Capitol Hill is also a great area for restaurants so you can sightsee while waiting to get seated if there's a wait. There are also some great apartments nearby if you are looking for a rental in a great area.
