Spending a quick, but perfect day in Scottsdale, Arizona based on our adventures.

While on a work assignment in Arizona, we found out about a sand bottom pool located in Scottsdale. Since we had never heard of a sand bottom pool we decided to make a quick weekend trip to check it out and explore Scottsdale.

We went during the summer so it wasn't very crowded. It was fun exploring around in the hot sun then cooling off at our resort.

Where to Stay

The Scott Resort and Spa

The Scott Resort was really why we even found ourselves in Scottsdale and it was to check out their pool. That being said, it is a very nice resort and has some Great Gatsby vibes. Our room was plenty big and the resort itself had a lot to offer such as outdoor movies.

As far as the pool goes, it was amazing with plenty of seating available and a bar. There is a sandy part which made for a more summer feel but the actual sand bottom pool part was only a small portion.

The location is great because it's walking distance to a lot in Scottsdale. If it's too hot to walk you park your car right by your room which makes exploring easy that way too.

Where to Eat

The Montauk

We went to the Montauk for brunch but they have both lunch and dinner, plus late-night specials. The atmosphere of the restaurant is perfect and feels very high-end beachy chic.

Kelsey loved it because they had avocado toast and a guava mimosa. They have outdoors sitting plus a spritzer system to help keep it cool during the summer.

Sprinkles Cupcakes

Cupcakes are always a good idea and this place makes some of the best. The coolest part about Sprinkles is that they have a cupcake ATM located outside their store. They have a few scattered locations in the US including Las Vegas, Tampa, and Austin.

Unbaked

Scottsdale is the perfect place for sweets. Unbaked is kind of like an ice cream store but for edible cookie dough. You get to pick toppings and can mix and match scoops. They even have vegan options!

What to Do

Scottsdale Fashion Square

This place is a mall but with more high-end stores and is of course very well put together. If you're in Scottsdale then you may as well get some shopping in. The fashion square also has some restaurants so you can get some food during your shopping spree.

There are other malls you can choose from but we found that this area has everything and anything you could be looking for. Plus it seems to have a collection of our favorite go-to stores.
